Violet Faye Washam "Sunny".  She was listed as  Viloet Laye Waskom b 9 May 1913 Collingsworth Co, TX birth records.  She  md Praxedis Canales who d. 30 Apr 1982 Hidalgo Co, TX.   Violet Faye Washam & Praxedis Canales children (males b. in Kleberg Co, TX): Tomas Canales b. 3 Mar 1944 & Terry Andres Canales b. 13 Nov  1945.  Violet born 9 May 1913 Shamrock, Wheeler Co, TX, the daughter of James Frank Washam and Willie Irene Reamy.  She lived in McAllen, Texas until she died.  She was never afraid of anything, shot a gun, and enjoyed hunting.  Read the great story about her on page 171.  Picture from Vicki Genz, 1998

Pauline Pape 31 Dec 1884 in Plymouth Co, IA.  She was b. abt. 1860 in WI, and d. 28 Nov 1936 Eagle, Ada, ID. (1-1860) (Gail R. Washam family records)  He is listed in the Early Pioneers/Settlers in Valley Co, ID, 1870 - 1920 (by Wesley W. Craig, 08 January 1997): WASHAM David H. dtd. 1909 Declared Homestead, p460; & WASHHAM David H. dtd. 1910 Van Wyck Precinct 247.  He is in the 1920 Ada Co, ID census as David H. Washam, age 68 MO with his wife, Pauline age 60 WI.  A daughter of David Washam by the name of Ester wrote about "grandfather David coming back to Mound City, MO.  It also states that there were 12 children from David senior and David junior was the 7th. (Gail Washam, 2000)  Washam, Wyoming was named for David H. Washam.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Boulder school house for Mrs Maude Washam who passed away Thursday, January 21, at Wyoming General Hospital at Rock Springs. Mrs. Washam had been a pneumonia patient at the hospital for two weeks. Her husband, James H Washam, is also a pneumonia patient at the hospital. His condition at the time of his wife's death was considered critical but last reports state he is somewhat improved. Their daughter, Elsie who was also ill with pneumonia, was released from the hospital only a few hours before her mother's death. She is staying with relatives in Rock Springs and was unable to attend the funeral services. Maude Mabel Washam was born July 14, 1885 at Green River, Wyoming. Her parents were the late Mr and Mrs. William Miller, early day residents of Sweetwater County. Maude Mabel Miller was married to James Washam in Green River, October 22, 1900. She and her husband and their family have resided in Boulder since 1916. Besides her husband and daughter, Elsie, who reside at home, Mrs. Washam is survived by a son, Harvey of Farson, and two other daughters, Mrs. Dennis Mitchell of Boulder and Mrs. Beulah Tatro whose home is in Colorado. Deceased is survived by a sister, Mrs. Minnie Baker of Salt Lake City and three brothers, John Miller of Boulder, James of Rock Springs, and Claude of Lander. ... Internment was made in the Boulder Cemetery.

Funeral services were held for James Washam, 87, at the Boulder school house Sunday, followed by burial in the Boulder Cemetery. ... Mr. Washam was born Oct 25, 1869, at Mound City, Mo. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Dennis Mitchell and Miss Elsie Washam of Boulder, and a son, Harvey Washam, of Rock Springs, and nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Among the out of town people attending the services were Leland Tatro of North Platte, Neb; Harvey Tatro of Riverton, and Bud Washam, Benn Gunnion and Jack Ron??, Mr. and Mrs. George Katering, Mrs. Donald Tatro and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Scott, all of Rock Spring."

Elsie Laura Washam, 64, of Pinedale, died Saturday at 9:50 am in Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital. Miss Washam had been in ill health for several years. She was hospitalized for 18 days. A former resident of Rock Springs and Boulder, Miss Washam had resided in Pinedale the past four years. She was born January 28, 1904, in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late James H and Maude Miller Washam. Survivors are one brother, Harvey Washam, Rock Springs; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Mitchell, Mill Valey, California; two uncles, Claude Miller, Wheatland, and John Miller, Rock Springs; and one aunt, Mrs. Minney Baker, Evanston.... Burial was in Boulder Cemetery."

They ran the Miller Silver Creek Ranch in Boulder He d. 1968. Survivors sons Dennis Washam & wife Judy of Rock Springs, Jim & wife Mary Jo of Pinedale; brothers Jack Gunyan & wife Janet of Rock Springs, Ronald Gunyan & wife Rosetta of Rock Springs; grandchildren: Wendy Koritnik & husband Louie of Rock Springs, Kristi Washam of Rock Springs, Michael Washam of Pinedale, step grandchildren: Shane Fulghum of Panama City, FL; Adam Fulghum of Rock Springs; great-grand children: Kyle Koritnik, Taylor Koritnik, Zachary Koritnik all of Rock Springs, Alex McCallister of Ocee, FL, Dakota Washam of Rock Springs, Hope Giles of Rock Springs. "Peggy" Tatro and wife, former Beulah Washum are in the country again. They have been living in Colorado since their marriage last October.

They are in the 1930 Rock Springs, Sweetwater, WY census. Reese A is age 34 b KS & she is age 20 with children Reese Tatro age 4 b WY; Harold Tatro age 2 b UT; Darrell Tatro age 1 yr 6 months b WY; Leland Tatro age 5 months b WY. Her mother, Maude Washam age 43 & sister Elsie Washam age 28 are living with them.

Reese Tatro b 15 Mar 1896 d 1 Mar 1976 Wood Co., TX. His SSN was issued in WY. His son Reese Tatro b 16 Feb 1926 d Dec 1983 Chugiak, Anchorage, Alaska whose SSN was also issued in WY before 1951. It was interesting to note his death was also shown as 1 Mar 1976 in Wood Co., TX. There was a Grace Tatro b 4 Nov 1908 & d in Chugiak, Anchorage, Alaska in Feb 1983 whose SS Number was issued in TX before 1951.

Albert is age 39 md age 25. Ella is age 30 m. age 18 with children: Bernice age 12 b TX; Beatrice age 10 b TX; Ruby A. age 8 b TX; Dorothy F. age 6 b TX.

Worsham, No. 5487, Collin Co, TX, 20 Sep 1955, Nell Norris Davis & Walter Norris, children of Martha Viola Norris, sister of Jack Worsham. Final Administrators report incorrectly stated Florence W. Norris & Florence Reneau, sister of Jack, erroneously omitted & she is deceased.

Billie J. Carr wrote: 

"The family group is their daughter, my Great grandmother, Alamanda Catherine [Worsham] Ferguson with her husband, John Campbell Ferguson, he has the long white beard. Seated to his left is their oldest daughter, my Grandmother, Mary Margrette [Ferguson] Richards. Standing behind, starting left to right are: Ella Rebecca [Ferguson] Walker. I think the man may be Herbert Ferguson, not sure. Alyda Ora [Ferguson] Vaughn, the next man may be William Franklin Ferguson, not sure. The white haired man may be Abner Walker Ferguson, not sure. and Janie Catherine [Ferguson] Morrison. I do know that James Harvey Ferguson was not in this picture, nor was Leta Mae Ferguson, she died years before. The elderly lady in that beautiful old chair is, Rebecca [Meadows] Worsham, my Great Great Grandmother."
